Bruno Mars - When I Was Your Man (B. Mars, P. Lawrence, A. Levine, A. Wyatt) ~ Erwin Lazaro 158

My last post on June 28, 2013 was the selection of my “summer song” for 2013.  I also mentioned how my family has been blasting Bruno Mars tunes throughout our home over the course of this year.  My wife asked me to follow up my last post with a cover for “When I Was Your Man”. She knows that it is my second favorite Bruno Mars tune behind “Treasure”.  I do have to sing a heartbreaker every once in a while and this one obviously fits into that category.

On a related note, my wife also recently let me know that some of her colleagues thanked her for links from Facebook.  Her wry smile spoke a thousand words, though I know she doesn’t really mind.  Her smile prompted me to open my own Facebook account last Friday, August 2nd.  Family and friends have teased me about using my wife’s Facebook account for so long they stopped teasing me altogether.  I was hopeless.  LOLOL!  I posted links for my website and for my videos on her Facebook page.  I posted my comments in quotation marks, referring to myself in third person.  Hehehe … As I mentioned earlier, my wife’s colleagues approached her and said, “Thanks, for sending me the link, Catherine”.  Even though they appreciated the effort, my wife was a bit embarrassed because it was me who sent the link and not her. (wink, wink)  Silly of me?  Probably.  Well, I finally decided to stop embarrassing my wife.  I finally decided to stop referring to myself in third person … (Erwin feels conflicted about his feelings regarding this matter, but he must now move forward.  Erwin breathes deeply.)  I finally decided to have my own connections with family and friends on my own Facebook profile.  (Erwin does actually have an identity.  He really does!)  Okay, I’m working on the third person thing.  It’s a slow process for the two of me.

The world of Facebook is not that scary.  No, no, no … Yes, yes, yes … How do I post a comment on this page again?  How hard is it to find James “something or another” on here?  (250 people named James Xxxxx later …)  You gotta be kidding me!  Arghhhh … sigh.  I know. It’s only been a couple of days, but, “Ain’t nobody got time for dat!  Ain’t nobody got time for dat!  Ain’t nobody got time!  Ain’t nobody got time!  Ain’t nobody got time for dat!” (Sweet Brown)

Anyhoooo … I’m astounded and completely taken aback at how quickly people are accessible through Facebook.  I’m reconnecting with people I haven’t spoken to, or seen for many, many years; some for about 27 years, when I graduated from high school.  Dang!  That just sounds crazy to me, but it’s true.

It’s a bit overwhelming to add Facebook into my life, but I know this is the time do so.  I now have three sites to manage and I’m doing my best to be social on all three sites while developing them at the same time.  It’s fun, but I’m seeing stars in front of my eyes at 3 a.m.  My website at lazarolivingdream.com is developing nicely. And, since my original YouTube channel with umpteen precious memories was booted off of YouTube on November 18, 2012, I’m starting over again, as painful as that is.  Now, Facebook is a new venue to discover.

I understand that I will discipline my actions on all three sites. I’ll have to figure out a productive balance without compromising my dedication to my family.  Inspiration, planning, and multitasking will pave the way.  Most of all, adding Facebook to my life is a new blessing for me to embrace.  Three links to kick things off for me on Facebook!
