This is one of the songs that I continuously sang as a teenager when I was yearning for love. Love never found its way to me during that period of my life. I did some searching too. It seemed to take forever when love finally came my way. But, as I know now, love’s reasons were definitely worth the wait. Of course, growing up with so many day dreams of what love was like and never finding it was a painful growing experience that many young people have to experience as a rite of passage. Sounds mushy for a guy, but for those of you who have gotten to know me from these YouTube videos, it should be easy to understand. I (with a BOLD ITALICIZED Capital “I”) couldn’t understand then what I understand now and “Crazy Love”, even though a song about heartbreak, helped me cope with all of those unexpressed, unrealized dreams when the “idea” of love was young within my heart.
From Wikipedia: "Crazy Love" is a 1979 single by the country-rock group, Poco, from their album, Legend. The single was written by group member, Rusty Young, and was the most successful of the band's four Top 40 chart hits. "Crazy Love" peaked at number 17 on the pop chart. On the Easy Listening chart, it spent seven weeks at number one. During its run, Billboard renamed their easy listening chart to adult contemporary.
