Scott Beaty is a Musical Genius! He is a Music Instructor who plays a variety of instruments. Scott is a professional musician who has performed for many years and I’m in awe of all of the incredible experiences he’s relayed to me. He was a part of the jazz scene in New York when prolific musicians strutted openly on the streets and walked among normal folk with their instruments in tow. That happens now, but before 9/11, the scene was … different. After 9/11, Scott conveyed that everything really changed … Ground Zero, after all. Scott has a good friend who worked for BMG and I could listen for hours about Scott’s experiences regarding studio recordings from music celebrities. Scott was able to learn from some amazing sound engineers. He also builds his own instruments and sound engineering equipment. He built his first amp as a preteen. He’s currently working on restoring a vintage drum set. His ingenuity knows no bounds. Scott is an Amazing friend who has dedicated his valuable time and wisdom to me and basically set up a real recording studio in my home. I tried to tackle the effort on my own, but I found myself knee deep within a dream apparently too big for me! LOL! Actually, I wasn’t laughing. I was pulling out what hair I have left. That’s not a good thing at all since my hair isn’t growing back where I had pulled it out! Yikes! Yah, don’t laugh. =( My vanity has been crushed, but I’m moving forward and Scott’s efforts to help me has simply turned my agony into elation!
“I’m sooooooo eternally grateful for everything you’ve done for me, Scott. Thank you!”
While Scott was last testing the system at my home, he basically helped me set up templates to record “Cool Night” by Paul Davis. This is basically my third sound engineering project, but Scott did most of the work for this production. I just sang. Actually, I didn’t do much. I listened to Scott’s amazing advice and all I had to do was adjust the gain a bit. Shazam! I was done. Microphone technique is critical to the success of these studio productions and I think I’m learning! =)
Thanks to Scott, the possibilities are endless for me to record music the way that I really want to record music!!! God willing, I will have the opportunities to do so. This is what I love and I’m P A S S I O N A T E about singing. I’m Grateful with every breath I take and I’m humbled by yet, even more Incredible Blessings that have enriched my life further!
