This has been a difficult summer with the passing of my father-in-law on July 6, 2015.  I typically post my cover of what I consider a "summer song" around this time.  This year, I've chosen a heartbreaking 1977 pop ballad in "Baby Come Back" by Player.  From the first note, the music tugs at the heartstrings, nostalgic of better days ...

I haven't had the chance to work on the memorial video for my father-in-law with my children at home for summer vacation.  It will be obvious when I post the memorial video in the near future.

Crowley.  The song was their biggest single, hitting number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 10 on the soul charts, in 1978.  It was the breakthrough single for the band, gaining them mainstream success, and the only number-one hit of their career.
