Restless Heart - I'll Still Be Loving You (T.Cerney,M.A.Kennedy,P.Rose,P.Bunch) ~ Erwin Lazaro 2062/20/2018 My wife and I are celebrating our 17th Wedding Anniversary this week! When my love and I first met, I represented “yang” and Catherine was clearly “yin”. Our love for each other was instant. Our love is continuously evolving, as all healthy relationships should. Through the years are roles have definitively reversed. I am “yin” and Catherine is clearly “yang”. I’ve noticed this dynamic nature within other long term relationships through my social interaction. The transformation is a curiosity, but I understand it. New relationships are basically interviews. Men are undoubtedly being evaluated during the dating process and generally fluff their feathers for appearance sake. After the door is opened for a blossoming relationship, the transformation begins when the once-assertive male accepts the truth of the situation and hands over the reign through the realization that love won’t progress without devoting a willingness to adapt for the sake of mutual understanding and appreciation. Basically, “She’s in control, guys …” Through this devotion, genuine compassion grows in the form of “Yes, my love … as long as you are happy, I’m happy.” When a union has reached this stage, mutual love will transcend time. Eternal love is guaranteed. That’s the formula! By definition, yin and yang are semantically complex words. Yin can be defined as female, negative, overcast (as in weather), covert, or sinister. Yang can be defined as masculine, positive, the sun (as in weather), overt, or active. Personally, I will accept yin being defined as unflappable, calming, or “quiet”, while yang is lively, energetic, or “chatty”. In a social setting, I agree that our roles appear to be as we had first met, but anyone can ask any of our three children, with no holds barred at home, I am definitely “yin’ and Catherine is definitely “yang”. And, to supplement my facetious commentary, I’m eternally grateful for the mutual, unconditional love that Catherine and I share. Unconditional love is truly the foundation for our continuously evolving, healthy relationship. Thanks for making my dreams come true, my love! Happy 17th Wedding Anniversary to the “Yang” of my “Yin”! From Wikipedia: "I'll Still Be Loving You" is a song recorded by American country music group Restless Heart. It was released in January 1987 as the second single from the album, Wheels. The song was written by Todd Cerney, Pam Rose, Mary Ann Kennedy, & Pat Bunch and was Restless Heart's second number one country single. It went to number 1 on Hot Country Songs for one week and spent 25 weeks on the chart. The single also was a smash hit on the Adult Contemporary chart and gave the band their first exposure on the pop charts, where it became their first top 40 single. It was the last country song to cross over to the Billboard Hot 100 until Billy Ray Cyrus' "Achy Breaky Heart" five years later. ?wmode=opaque" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>
