Thanksgiving Day is a holiday celebrated by several countries and territories around the world to remind people to give thanks for all of the great and small Blessings within their lives. Just as every moment is Christmas in the sense of spiritual renewal, Thanksgiving Day is a celebration for every moment of life. As life continues to struggle and face daily adversities, for the fragile psyche of humans anyway, these reminders for the positive aspects of life are even more critical to combat those hardships. It is certainly difficult to remain optimistic and uplifting all of the time, a majority of the time, or even for some of the time. As the scale tips in favor of the hardships, that’s when people lower their shoulders, push on through, and “count those blessings” in order to regain the necessary balance and walk upright once more. Or, so should people be doing. Fight or flee. Fight for balance.
Every moment is a struggle. Every moment is a reward. Every moment is actually, both. It depends on the perspective. I live with both guiding my way. The struggle pushes me to do better and the reward caters to selfish needs that I acknowledge. And, these are not thoughts that dominate my actions, but an understanding that is engrained, accepted, and utilized, vigilant and adapting to circumstances, ever watchful.
I have found that the tangibility of my actions materializes through my passion for life. Hope and the relentless pursuit for quality drive me forward. Of course, I face setbacks, but I endure and continue onward. The most important part of moving forward is being aware. I look through my rearview mirror and side mirrors every once in a while. If I need extra reassurance I turn my head or make a concerted effort to look behind me and make sure I can continue doing what I’m doing. Checks and balances … Renewal and Thanksgiving.
Through my passion and conviction for life I give thanks for every moment. That includes the good and the not-so-good. Exclusion is only a betrayal to the soul. Don’t deny the bad stuff. Therefore, learning from every experience becomes wisdom for the future. Sometimes, it is really, really, tough, but don’t give up. I won’t. You’d better not, either.
In fact, I’m sharing my conviction through my latest video post. I realize this music will not cater to all, but my expression is clear. I’m giving my all. I’m giving thanks to all. I always feel like I’m radiating energy when I belt out “Biggest Part of Me” and I’m sending out the positive vibes to reinforce a holiday that is actually a daily celebration.
